Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Junior Mining Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in Mississauga, Ontario. Ideal candidates will have a Masters or Undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline (such as physical geography, environmental science, environmental engineering, biology, etc.) and two or more years of environmental consulting or equivalent experience, post-graduation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and compile, data and other information
  • Assist with document preparation for Federal and Provincial environmental approvals, related to mining projects in Ontario
  • Prepare other written materials, such as reports, presentation materials and meeting minutes

Skills / Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in physical geography, environmental science, environmental engineering, biology, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of environmental consulting or equivalent experience, post-graduation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is required
  • Proven professional judgement, maturity and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and time management skills / ability to work to deadlines
  • Previous experience with field sampling, environmental management or environmental approvals associated with mining
  • Valid Ontario driver's license
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
