Overview / Responsibilities

Wood's Mining business has an  opportunity for an  Instrumentation and Controls Engineer (Intermediate) to work with an international team on the detailed design phase of a mining project.  Reporting to the Office Engineering Manager, this position is part of a project team located in our Oakville, ON office. This role will be responsible for providing design support on major EPC/EPCM projects. The successful candidate must be located within a reasonable commute to the Oakville, ON office. Key Responsibilities


  • Hands on experience with Siemens PCS 7 Control System will be an asset
  • Applied knowledge (engineering, design and implementation) of Profinet, Profibus, and Industrial Ethernet networks
  • Prepare and review control deliverables such as Control Narrative, Cause and Effect diagram, Control system architecture, loop drawings



Skills / Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering
  • Mus PEng designation, or eligible for PEng
  • 3 -  5 years’ of related experience, preferably on mining projects
  • Current legal eligibility to work in Canada
