Overview / Responsibilities

Wood's Mining business is seeking a Junior Cost Controller for our  project in Oakville, Ontario.  The successful candidate will be reporting to the Project Services Manager toensure all project costs are allocated, recorded, monitored and controlled agains project and company codes. The successful candidate must be located locally within reasonable commuting distance from Oakville, Ontario.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage resource authorization, resource reporting and forecasting
  • Manage home office engineering man hours and cost
  • Collect, input, coordinate with project team and prepare charts and graphics for project weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports
  • Assist in progress reporting


Skills / Qualifications

Role Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a project work environment
  • Experience in project cost control software systems
  • Understands document processing principles, and practices
  • Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Engineering
  • 0 - 2 years of clerical experience is required for this position
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must live within reasonable commuting distance from Oakville, Ontario
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada at time of application
