Overview / Responsibilities

Wood’s Mining & Minerals business is seeking an Intermediate Document Controller to be located in our Saskatoon, SK office. Reporting to the Manager, Project Services, and working alongside other team members locally, you will have the opportunity to provide support on a variety of projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Timely and accurate update of information within an electronic information management system
  • Ensuring that all internally prepared technical documents are logged into the Electronic Data Management System and distributed and returned by users in accordance with the company and client procedures
  • Ensuring supplier/contractor drawings are logged with transmittal memoranda, distributed to, and returned by, users in accordance with the company and client procedures
  • Communicating effectively with appropriate engineering/construction disciplines; including providing ongoing updates on status of work
  • Ensuring required filing and archiving of documents is done in a timely manner
  • Perform electronic scanning, copying, binding, mailing and distribution duties as arises on site
  • Provide administrative support to other staff if needed
  • Ensure Health & Safety responsibilities are adhered to and understood

Skills / Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 2-year Library Technology, Records Management, Information Management or Administration Assistant program
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in the engineering/construction industry with keen interest in supporting project teams in a consulting engineering office
  • A strong working knowledge of Windows Applications, including Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and SharePoint experience would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work with people at all levels
  • Effective organizational skills and be able to multi-task
