    Wood’s Mining & Minerals business performs consulting and EPCM services for many of the world’s leading mining companies and is executing world-class projects on five continents. 


    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Civil/Structural Engineer-in- Training. Reporting the Manager, Civil/Structural, this position is located in our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office.     Key Responsibilities


    Under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers:


    • Provide structural design and technical support including calculations for concrete, structural steel and connection design, design drawing review, field investigations, and assistance with solutions for the construction or repair of industrial buildings, facilities and services
    • Learn and apply engineering protocols
    • Visiting operating sites and plant construction projects for trouble-shooting on an as needed basis
    • Develop specifications
    • Demonstrating effective organizational skills and handling multiple tasks independently, and as part of a team
    • Coordinating and working with project team members 

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
    • Eligibility for registration as an EIT in Saskatchewan.
    • Working knowledge of CSA S16 - Design of steel structures and CSA A23.3 – Design of Concrete Structures.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
    • Team-oriented and a creative thinker.
    • Demonstrates cooperation and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
