  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is hiring a Senior Contaminant Hydrogeologist based in either our Mississauga or Richmond Hill, ON office. In this role you will be providing project management and technical services for the Ontario environmental site assessment and remediation practice group;

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Completing technical quality reviews within area of expertise
    • Supporting the update and development of internal technical procedures and protocols
    • Mentoring and developing the skills of staff on various projects
    • Leading and reviewing projects within discipline area
    • Supporting technical proposal activities across a broad range of industries and sectors
    • Interacting with other Wood offices and divisions and participating in the pursuit of strategic business opportunities

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Degree in Geoscience / Hydrogeology or Geological/Environmental Engineering [advanced degree(s) preferred]
    • 10+ years of related experience in consulting engineering firm and knowledge of applicable Ontario laws and regulations
    • Must be licensed as P.Eng with the Professional Engineers Ontario or P.Geo. with Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario
    • Experience with environmental site assessment and remediation projects
    • Experience working with diverse (both technically and geographically) project teams
    • Self-starter, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
    • Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency, and attention to detail; track record of quality work products
    • Demonstrated performance of independent analysis, problem solving and strong organizational skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
