    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions Group is actively seeking a  Highways ransportation Lead with MTO experience for South Western Canada. The position can be based out of London, Cambridge, Burlington, Richmond Hill.

    This senior group head position, reports to the Ontario West Vice President and will work collaboratively with Wood's Transportation leadership team.   This role will involve providing technical direction and guidance at the business center level as well as identify new business development opportunities.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and oversee the sustainable growth of the tMTO transportation business
    • Leading local business development efforts; including proposal development, client relationships, developing leads and securing contracts to achieve business development and financial goals
    • Develop and maintain a balanced and focused strategic growth plan for the Ontario MTO transportation business, with focus on growing our core strengths
    • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams for the preparation of proposals and projects within the transportation department’s core expertise, including review and determination of bid and pricing strategies
    • Project management of key projects
    • Coaching, mentoring, and developing future leaders
    • Promoting a strong health and safety culture within the transportation business line
    • Network with Wood's sector leaders across North America to help promote transportation services in Ontario

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Post-graduate degree or a B.Sc. with at least 15 years’ professional experience
    • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario
    • Experience with responding to Requests for Proposals, Expression of Interests, and Statement of Qualifications
    • MTO project experience in a project management capacity
    • Demonstrated technical skills on major projects with an understanding on the various Transportation consultancy sectors
    • Strong business development skills, including experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a client base
    • Substantial leadership, communication and team building skills
