  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is seeking a Senior Project Administrator to join our Mining & Minerals group at our Oakville, Ontario office.  Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide support on a large scale project.  If you thrive on challenges in a fast paced environment, this opportunity is for you.  Priority will be given to candidates in the Oakville area.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager, Area Leads and Engineering Manager
    • Coordinate and comply with requirements of Project Information Management
    • Perform advanced level work formatting and editing of higher level project documents
    • Maintain consistency in project procedures and deadlines
    • Maintain knowledge of project status and schedule requirements
    • Ensure completion of updates of project’s PMP
    • Provide general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing, compiling reports, coordinating travel requirements, archiving of files and other duties assigned
    • Coordinate with client on various administrative functions
    • Arrange project meetings, maintain project meeting calendar, and assist in printing material for meetings

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of project administrative or secretarial experience in a technical environment
    • Advanced word processing skills and experience with related software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, , Adobe Acrobat)
    • Self-starter and able to work independently to complete tasks and can meet deadlines
    • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to deal professionally and courteously with internal and external clients
    • Knowledge of engineering terminology and document types / structures would be considered an asset
    • Knowledge of SharePoint would also be considered an asset
