    Wood is currently seeking a Senior Hydrologist / Civil Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, ON.

    Key Responsibilities

     

    • Perform engineering calculations and develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for mining applications
    • Design of hydraulic structures related to mine water management
    • Conduct field investigations
    • Produce written reports

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in civil/ water resources / environmental engineering or equivalent; Graduate degree is a plus
    • P.ENG certification
    • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role, mining industry experience preferred
    • Experience preparing water balance and statistical analyses; GoldSim experience a plus
    • Experience with HEC-HMS, SWMHYMO and SWMM model suites
    • Experience with HEC-RAS and 2-dimensional modelling
    • Experience with hydraulic structure design – channels, culverts, weirs and spillways
    • Knowledge of mine water management
    • Experience using AutoCAD and GIS mapping software a plus
    • Experience completing stream flow measurements a plus
    • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
