  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Labourer responsible for weighing trucks in the scale house and checking trucks and their tickets as they arrive at their location, in addition to other roles on site such as helping survey crews, erecting and removing traffic signage, etc.


    Key Responsibilities


    • General site labour
    • Scaleperson - weighing trucks and recording net trucks weights
    • Checker - recording trucks and their weights as they arrive on construction site
    • Confirm weight of truck
    • Confirm material goes to appropriate location on project
    • Potential for physical work (including erecting and removing traffic construction signage)
    • Fill in for other roles onsite, as required
    • Work outside in variable weather conditions, rain or shine
    • 12-hour work days
    • Other duties may be assigned from time to time

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Accurate data entry
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions
    • Ability to work independently
    • Previous experience working with a weight scale an asset
    • Positive attitude
    • Must be punctual and reliable
    • Must be able to work six to seven days a week
    • Previous experience an asset
