  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Geomatics Limited is seeking a Geomatics Technologist to join our Calgary office. Reporting to the legal surveys manager, the Geomatics Technologist's primary responsibility will be plan preparation for a variety of legal survey projects. Additional duties may include field data processing, survey plan checking and computations. For the right candidate, there is the possibility of conducting field work as part of a legal survey crew and articling to become an Alberta Land Surveyor.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • 2 year Post-Secondary Geomatics Engineering Technology or equivalent
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Ability to interpret survey plans, Land Titles documents and field notes
    • Strong communication and time management skills
    • Familiarity with MicroSurvey and Trimble Business Centre, as well as previous field survey experience would be an asset
