  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an experienced Document Specialist to join our Document Production Team in Burnaby, BC.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Formatting, editing, proofreading, and word processing documents for multiple disciplines using Microsoft Word
    • Compiling and editing PDFs using Adobe Acrobat
    • Assisting marketing with the preparation of proposals
    • Preparation of final documents that meet corporate standards
    • Understanding and remain current with corporate writing/formatting standards
    • Assist in the production of deliverables for clients, including printing, binding, uploading, and file-transfer (e.g., through SharePoint sites)

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in a related field, such as publishing, journalism or communication preferred
    • Minimum four years relevant experience as outlined in responsibilities
    • Experience of working within engineering or similar industry preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro and InDesign is an asset
    • Ability to coordinate with other members of the team, plus subject matter experts and possible outside reviewers to keep projects on schedule
    • Ability to edit or copy edit and proofread
    • An eye for detail and an ability to enforce consistency in formatting
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to organize workload, identify urgent work items and set priorities
    • Ability to creatively solve problems
    • Ability to occasionally work on evenings and weekends to meet deadlines
