  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting an Electrical Designer to work in our St. John’s office on a large scale brownfield offshore oil and gas project.


    Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

    • Electrical design work to meet Client requirements and specifications.
    • Originate electrical design documents including but not limited to heat trace isometrics, panel board schedules, and single lines
    • Generate material take-offs and bill of material reports
    • Ensure all HSEQ requirements are met within the Electrical discipline in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
    • Travel offshore on an as-needed basis to complete electrical surveys


    Skills / Qualifications

    Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

    • Technical Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical design work experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
    • Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved will be considered
