  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is recruiting an engineering student for placement in the Hibernia Fabric Maintenance department.


    The student responsibilities will include:

    • Be a member of the multi-disciplined Fabric Maintenance Team. The student will provide assistance to all members of the team and be involved in completing Fabric Maintenance projects for the Hibernia platform
    • Be directly responsible for maintaining databases and tracking sheets
    • Attend meetings, take meeting minutes and be responsible for distributing to attendees
    • Be responsible for ordering and tracking materials
    • Assist with project controls tasks and planning
    • Be involved in a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: completing Scope Development Forms for new Fabric Maintenance Projects, developing work packs for Offshore implementation of said projects and managing technical drawings
    • Work with other departments and personnel at Wood Group and the client to assist in project delivery


    Skills / Qualifications


    • Competent with the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Excel will be considered an asset
    • Comfortable learning new software
    • Experience in taking meeting minutes
    • Experience in database management
    • Ability to work with a variety of industry professional
    • Enthusiasm towards working in a team based project environment
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time wisely
    • Attentive to detail
    • Highly Organized
    • Experience in working with engineering drawings (Isometrics, P&IDs, etc.)
    • Experience with Fabric Maintenance is an asset
