    Junior Civil / Structural Design Technician/Technologist

     

    Woods Environment & Infrastructure Solutions group has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Civil / Structural Design Technician/Technologist based in our Burnaby, BC office.  In this position, you will work within our dedicated Civil / Structural group in preparing design drawings for marine, transportation and other infrastructure projects. 

     

    Our team environment is equipped with specialized structural design software and computer aided design and drafting (CADD) facilities. 

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Preparing conceptual and detailed drawings for local and/or global marine and transportation projects,
    • Work as a team member with Project Managers, Engineers and Technologists staff
    • Ensuring that project needs are met in a timely, effective manner.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Civil/Structural Technologist/Technician Diploma
    • 1 to 5 years’ experience with AutoCAD, with civil / structural projects
    • Experience with structural concrete details, structural steel details standard steel call outs and terminology
    • Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and work within a team atmosphere
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
