  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood in Calgary is looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to join our structural team



    • Responsible Junior Structural engineer to execute engineering work under registered professional engineer within the scope assigned 
      • for industrail structural design including piperack modules, equipment skids, industral buildings and associated foundations
      • Work on conceptual, preliminary and detailed engineering design
      • Prepare construction work packages
      • Prepare material take off
    • Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation against project standards and specifications
    • Coordinate and work with project team members
    • Liaison with other disciplines and client when required


    Skills / Qualifications

    • Degree in civil engineering, structural specialization will be an asset
    • Registered as EIT in the province of Alberta
    • 0-4 years of practical experience working on industrial structural engineering work
    • Experience in structural analysis and design
    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
    • Effective communication skills
