  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking a BIM (Revit) Designer to support the Architectural and Structures department in Burlington Ontario on a significant design build transit assignment. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Architectural design services. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of applicable industry computer design programs. Revit proficient is a must. An Associate Degree or technical diploma is required.


    Key Responsibilities


    • The individual will be responsible for every day production related task such as the creation of Revit base models including design and construction models and constructability review models
    • Architectural / Structural Revit modeling
    • General project drafting in Revit and AutoCAD and assisting the design team in all phases of design as needed
    • Working in multidiscipline environment with shared models
    • Occasional MEP Systems Revit modeling if needed
    • Quantity take-off of building projects for cost estimates
    • Coordinate with the other disciplines
    • Ensure drawing compliance with company and client CAD standards and styles
    • Prepare complete design and construction Documents

    Skills / Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of related design experience
    • Associate Degree or technical diploma required
    • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is a must
    • Proven experience in the creation of construction documents in Revit
    • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
    • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, if required
    • Must pass drug screen, physical, background check and must have satisfactory driving record in accordance with company’s driving (MVR) policy
    • Knowledge of Bentley Microstation/ AecoSim will be a plus
