  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry as it relates to Maintenance and Project Management.


    Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

    • Developing and maintaining an offshore platform Maintenance and Modifications Program
    • Development of Maintenance procedures to maximize planning and scheduling effectiveness
    • Understanding of a complete maintenance philosophy maximizing condition-based activity
    • Monitoring of costs and budgets, progress, and delivery status
    • Managing a multi-skilled team, and prioritizing the activities within the team
    • Working with Operations and Construction teams to ensure safe and compliant execution of the program to plan
    • Management of required Maintenance support and service contracts
    • Understanding of Asset Criticality Analysis, FMEA, RCM, and equipment strategies
    • Understanding of CMMS systems preferably SAP
    • Maintenance spares management
    • Reviewing inspection reports and developing resolution plans
    • Providing input and tracking KPI’s for regular reporting
    • Planning the coordination/mobilization of offshore personnel
    • Providing support to offshore personnel during work scope execution
    • Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures; project specific HSES and Quality plans; and agreed interfacing requirements with customers and sub-contractors
    • Participation in design and constructability reviews, and daily offshore meetings
    • Participation in HIRA, HAZID, and HAZOP analysis, and resolution of issues
    • Travel offshore on an as-needed basis


    Skills / Qualifications

    Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

    • Engineering Degree and Professional Engineer registered (or eligible for registration) with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador
    • 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry with direct Maintenance and Project Management experience
    • Strong understanding of project principals and objectives
    • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of both internal and Client organizations
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing needs upon short notice
    • Must be self-motivated and able to see tasks through successful completion with minimal supervision
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may also be considered
