  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

    • Delivery of material procurement service in a safe, timely, and cost effective manner, and in line with contractual requirements to the satisfaction of clients and to Wood
    • Preparing and issuing RFQs, EOIs, and Purchase Orders using only Wood approved Suppliers
    • Preparing commercial bid evaluations and recommendations for materials purchases
    • Assisting with sourcing new vendors and ensuring procedures are followed with respect to vendor evaluation and setup
    • Commercial and contractual administration of Purchase Orders through to close-out
    • Ensuring all applicable processes and management systems are adhered to
    • Acting honestly and fairly in accordance with Wood’s Code of Ethics and in support of Wood’s Core Values
    • Fostering an environment of openness, trust, and honesty in support of Wood’s core values
    • Fostering good relationships with internal customers, sub-contractors and suppliers
    • Maximizing effective use of network
    • Negotiating contractual terms and conditions

    Skills / Qualifications

    Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

    • 8+ years of procurement work experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
    • Successful completion of a Business or Technical Degree/Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
    • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a calming disposition
    • Ability to interface and communicate with various disciplines within Wood’s office, and in a team environment
    • SCMP Membership would be considered an asset
    • Greenfield project buying experience would be considered an asset
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may also be considered
