We are currently seeking a Rock Mechanics Laboratory and Ground Penetrating Radar Technician to join our team in Burlington, ON.

Key Responsibilities

• Technician duties will include receiving samples, sample logistics and scheduling, testing preparation and completion of project file documents
• Laboratory testing with strict adherence to test methods such as CSA, ASTM, OPSS for rock, concrete, and various construction materials
• Performing Ground Penetrating Radar surveys to locate reinforcing steel within concrete, voiding beneath concrete slabs and the location of buried objects
• Available for field work and site survey
• Assistance with report writing on laboratory results

• Materials/engineering technician College Diploma or higher, or similar work experience
• Previous materials laboratory testing experience 0-10 years
• High proficiency in learning to use advanced technology
• Advanced understanding of physics and mechanics
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Conscientious
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Organized
• Self-Motivated
• Willing to learn
• Willing to work extra hours, possibly on short notice, to meet strict project deadlines
